WHEN I received a call from Israel’s ambassador to Manila, H.E. Yehoshua Sagi, inviting me to visit his country, I was thrown into a dilemma. The war with Lebanon had just ended, but the ceasefire was shaky and fighting could resume at any time. Both my family and friends discouraged me from going.
