DENR men face raps for ‘disposing’ gov’t land
BAGUIO CITY – Fice employes of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the Cordillera Region were slapped with a 90day preventive suspension by Secretary Angelo C. Reyes for their alleged involvement in the illegal disposal of public lands at Bakakeng Central here to private individuals.
GMA leads rites opening repaired Halsema highway
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, who will spend a working Yuletide season in the Cordillera, is expected to inaugurate the completed first phase of the rehabilitation of the Baguio-Bontoc-Banaue Road, popularly known as the Halsema Highway, on Dec. 27 in Barangay Loo, Buguias where she is also expected to lead the operning ceremonies for the Abatan-Cervantes (Ilocos Sur) road rehabilitation project.
