Creative Zen V Plus MP3 Plus Video in the Palm of Your Hands
Being an owner of the Creative Zen V Plus for three months now, I can’t believe how Creative was able to put everything in such a small gadget. The Zen V Plus may not look high-tech but you just have to use it and see for yourself. At Creative’s website (www.creative.com), the Zen V Plus is categorized as an MP3 player and not a portable media player (PMP) just to make things clear.

Implantable Hearing Devices Now In The Philippines!
We live in a noisy environment and it seems there’s nothing we can do about it. Add to this is the fact that we now have all sorts of gadgets and accessories (that were unimaginable before!) that the young generation wear directly to their ears. Thus, most medical doctors assess that by age 50, these kids will either be deaf or hearing impaired.

Security Secrets and Strategies
McAfee, Inc. announced the findings of new research that reveals how organized crime is grooming a new generation of cybercriminals using tactics reminiscent of those employed by the KGB during the cold war. The McAfee Virtual Criminology Report 2006 marks the second annual McAfee report on organized crime and the Internet. The study, which used input from Europe’s leading high-tech crime units and the FBI, suggests that crime gangs are targeting top students from leading academic institutions in order to provide them with the skills they need to commit high-tech crime on a mass scale.

Surely you’d want this Chocolate, Phone
Whoever labeled LG’s KG800 as the Chocolate Phone must have been appealing to a basic human weakness. Most people can’t resist a temptingly good bite of chocolate even though it’s chocolate that is made of metal, vibrates and is polyphonic.

Broadband Questions
After several weeks of enjoying my subscribed Internet bandwidth with only one hiccup (which lasted more than 12 hours!), I can say that I am pretty much satisfied with my broadband connection. However, I am hoping that the ISP will increase its bandwidth again so that I can get my money’s worth (something close to US broadband speeds!). I am not starting another ISP tirade today but I do have some questions to ISPs that I am sure that other subscribers want answered as well.

Chinese phone / a phone with a nationality
For a long time now I’ve wanted to change my phone. I’ve been looking around for one as good as or better than my K700i. I’m proud to tell you that the search is over! This is the one. Using this phone, I was convinced that this phone was the one I’ve been looking for so long now. But what is so great with this phone anyway? The first thing that I take into consideration when looking for a phone is its functions. The second thing is the price. Two of which were met with flying colors by this phone.

Blog-O-Rama
"Technobiography" is a blog about the sundry uses of technology in our daily life. Whether you want to know about the location of wi-fi hotspots in Manila or simply curious to find out about the grandma who uses Skype for calling and how you can upload audio books on your cellphone, this is the site to go. Its proponent is Edwin Soriano, an electrical engineer by profession who calls himself "Ka Edong," the "technology usyusero (kibitzer)." He is an ICT development consultant specializing in mobile commerce and its applications. He previously published "the first definitive study of e-Government in the Philippines and an e-Primer on Information Structure circulated in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific." Edwin says his blog over at http://technobiography.edongskey.com is simply about his "tech encounters and reflections," all written in relaxed, casual language to make the ordinary man understand that technology can be utilized to the fullest and should not be as lofty as it sounds. More in the following interview:

Reality Bites
With worldwide IT spending expected to grow a modest 6.6% in 2007, many industry leaders will be more willing than ever to take chances, and embrace change to open up new pockets of growth. The result, according to IDC, will be a year of hyperdisruption, with many IT vendors stepping up their adoption of new business models and technologies, and crossing traditional market boundaries.

PARIS (AFP) - There was a time when the Internet was almost the exclusive domain of youth. But that sort of ageism will soon be irrelevant, judging by the small but growing phenomenon of seniors turning to blogging.
