Managing a family is a full time job that comes with its own challenges, stresses and triumphs. But for Jeanette Tuason, vice president of Tuason Racing School and a proud mother of two, it’s a balancing act that one can grow accustomed to.
"There was no point in feeling guilty about working or going out with friends on occasion," Jeanette admits. "I play different roles and each role is a facet of who I am."
Still, amidst her hectic schedule, she makes it a point to spend ample quality time with her family. As parents, Jeanette and JP encourage their kids to be independent and courageous. "We’re not the type of parents to tell our kids, ‘no, don’t do this or you can’t do that.’ We allow them to experience the consequences of their actions and we let them decide."
In the household, there are always those non-negotiables that a mother implements unconditionally. For Jeanette, these center mostly on cleanliness and hygiene.
"We have to vacuum everyday. And the bathrooms have to get cleaned on a daily basis," she reveals. "We change the sponges used for cleaning plates every week. After all, why should I sacrifice my family’s health be because I’m saving on the cost of a dishwashing sponge?"
Recently, Jeanette participated in the launch of Pfizer’s newest product, Purell hand sanitizer. With the launch of Purell, Pfizer brings the most trusted hand sanitizer brand in the US to the Philippine market. Personally, Jeanette appreciates the handiness of Purell. "You can use it everywhere," she confides. "And especially since my family deals with cars and is outdoors a lot, it’s extremely convenient to have around."
