While the best place to be this Christmas is at home, Alabang Town Center’s Home Zone presents itself as the perfect place to shop for furniture, house items and décor.
With several merchants under Home Zone, variety is something to expect.
In fact, this year’s annual "Home for the Holidays" exhibit features Christmas settings designed by celebrities with their personal touch.
Host and executive producer Michelle Simone’s dining setting is an explosion of fun colors and eclectic items.
Apart from an abundance of Christmas balls, antiques such as lamps and a Gramma Phone from Herencia made pretty centerpieces.
Throw pillows in various textures and colors like fuchsia and sky blue adorned the lovely May Back chairs from Store One that Michelle chose for her vignette.
And since her Christmases have always been about colorful stories, a flurry of presents and good food, she put in some crumpled taffeta and red Imari plates from Herencia.
Consul of Monaco Fortune Aleta–Ledesma was inspired by her Tagaytay home for her Christmas lanai setting.
To emphasize her love for the outdoors, she concentrated on the warmth of wood, bringing in pieces such as Herencia’s Indonesian cabinet and Japanese lamp.
Fortune threw in an assortment of pillows from Home and Beyond for some flavor. Her favorite item, however, is the consul table that she filled with Christmas balls from True Value and covered with a clear glass top.
For her Christmas living room setting, TV host and mother Daphne Oseña–Paez had husband Patrick and daughters Sophia and Lily Paloma in mind.
Since her hubby likes clean, modern lines, Daphne brought in a carpet from Jo-Liza; instead of the usual coffee table, she used two long kamagong benches from Home and Beyond where her kids can also play on top of them.
A modern and feminine Moon Sofa from Store One completed the look.
"I really like to keep it simple," she says about her decorating style, adding that her living room setting for Home Zone is something she can definitely see in her next home.
Already on its third year, the "Home for the Holidays" exhibit has already showcased the designs of Angel Aquino, Amanda Griffin, Agot Isidro, Ayen Laurel, Theresa Balaguer, Angel Jacob, Anton Barretto, Ana Rocha-Castillo, Lexi Schulz and Dawn Zulueta-Lagdameo.
"It’s become a tradition for us at ATC to showcase some of the finest pieces that make the house a home. This is the same homey atmosphere we provide at ATC," shared ATC GM Carol TorresMills.
Participating merchants for this year include Play and Display, True Value, Dwellings, Automatic Center, Robles Heritage, JoLiza, Silahis Arts and Crafts, Store One, Home and Beyond, Herencia Arts and Antiques, Gourdo’s, Carpet Showroom and Designer Blooms.
"Home for the Holidays" runs until Dec. 29, at the Homezone located at the ground floor of Alabang Town Center.
