Many people appreciated what they had experienced at the 6th serving of the BAGUIO TOSSED SALAD FESTIVITIES this year because of the various activities incorporated during the festival.
The 6th BTSF was held on November 17 at the Baguio Convention Center with a kick off event last Nov 16 at SM CITY Baguio, featuring Barry Callebaut Confectionery and Baking Demo courtesy of Actron Industries, Inc. and San Miguel Mills, Inc. For its 6th year, main organizer Baguio Assn. of Hotels and Inns (BAHAI) highlighted desserts by featuring Belgian chocolates prepared in pralines, truffles, ganache, and mousse cakes.
Aside from the dessert demo, competitions were held featuring three-course entry preparation, "Iron Chef," baking competitions and an art competition focusing on nature inspired designs using Clorox bleach pens – another new event during the BTSF which highlighted the bleach pens from Clorox applied on old worn jeans.
The giant salad bowl was served to the public on the last day and visitors had a grand time enjoying their salad with dressings as they watched live entertainment featuring Shamrock" as guest performers together with other local bands from the region.
