Hirudoid back in the market
Hirudoid, the most effective medication for the treatment of varicose veins and other related skin conditions, is now back in the Philippines after a brief absence in the local market.
According to Diethelm (Philippines ), Inc. brand manager Raymond C. Hernandez, "We are glad to bring Hirudoid, a high-quality product that is trusted worldwide, back in the Philippine market.
A unit of Swiss company DKSH, Diethelm (Philippines), Inc. is the distributor of Hirudoid in the Philippines.
Diethelm is one of the leading distributors of pharmaceutical and consumer products in the country.
Medinova, a division of Diethelm, owns the brand Hirudoid.
"Hirudoid effectively addresses the health risks and aesthetic problems that are brought about by varicose veins, scars, and bruises," Hernandez explained.
"This is made possible by Muccopolysaccharide Polysulfate, an active ingredient in Hirudoid which has anti-coagulant, antithrombotic and anti-inflammatory effects."
"It improves blood flow and alleviates skin disorders by improving moisturizing capacity and promoting tissue regeneration. Muccopolysaccharide Polysulfate improves the condition of skin tissues and helps in the retention of moisture and hydration," he added.
A scientific study conducted with over 240 patients for seven days showed that in less than a week’s treatment with Hirudoid, significant results were achieved for patients experiencing varicose veins due to pregnancy and other symptoms. The efficacy of Hirudoid in healing scars is also well documented.
Arena vision in Manila
Philippines has been a leading provider of animation services for two decades with a proven record of producing quality work in quick turnaround time.
In 2004, the Filipino animation industry, which has been exporting services to the biggest international production outfits worldwide, was estimated to have earned about 40 million dollars in revenues.
At one time, almost 90% of the outsourced animation requirements came out of Philippines.
Many foreign studios still prefer to work with Philippine animation companies because of the creativity of Filipino animators and their understanding of the western culture.
The Global Animation Industry is expected to witness a CAGR of 10-15 percent and estimated to be $ 75 billion by 2009.
The Philippine government realizes that if they are to get a sizable chunk of this business, they would need to have a larger pool of highly skilled animators. It is estimated that at least 2000 animators will be required in the next 3-5 years. Arena’s vision is to help make Philippines the best talent hub for Multimedia & Animation Professionals in Asia.
Arena has opened its first Animation Training Institute in Manila with an aim of better training students for the globally competitive animation industry. Students are trained in the latest animation softwares to meet professional animation expectations.
Arena has plans to expand this initiative to other cities like Cebu, Ortigas and Iloilo in the next few months. Arena Multimedia is Asia’s leader in animation education with over a decade of training excellence.
