For people who are too shy to go to the gym, run outside the park, or you just need to get fit at the comfort of you own home, Xavix is all you need.
Officially launched last December 2006, staying fit and healthy in front of the TV has been revolutionized with the Xavix International System. Developed by international superstar Jacky Chan, Filipinos can now exercise and do sport activities at home. The Xavix System is composed of the Xavix Port (which acts as the gaming console), the Xavix sport cartridge, and the wireless controller.
The Xavix system connects to a TV like a video game console, but the controller differs from what sport title you use. Currently, there are five titles (or sport activities) that are available for the Xavix Port. The Aerostep cartridge contains various cardio workouts with a wireless J-MAT as a controller. The PowerBoxing uses boxing gloves for controllers and allows you to challenge boxing characters with different levels. For those who love to swing racquets, the Tennis game allows compete in both singles and doubles matches using a wireless racquet controller. The interactive Bowling game makes you use a wireless bowling ball controller and let’s you play a full ten frames or challenge other players. Lastly, there’s the Xavix Golf which lets the player use a wireless club for you to swing ang make that shot.
"What’s great about the Xavix System is that as long as you have a TV, you can use it anytime you want and as much as you want. You can also own one or all the different games available, you can enjoy by yourself, or with your friends and family," said Mr. Abell Ngo, Vice-President of Electronics Botique - the sole distributor of Xavix in the Philippines.
Soon to be launched also is the Xavix Bass Fishing title, which makes use of a wireless fishing rod as a controller. All Xavix products are exclusively distributed locally by Electronics Botique. (Carlo S. Suerte Felipe)
