The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 370 out of 735 examinees passed the Architect Licensure Examination given by the Board of Architecture in Manila last January.
The result of examination with respect to one examinee was withheld pending final determination of his liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.
On the Board of Architecture which gave the licensure examination were Armando N. Alli, chairman; Miguel R. Caluza and Angeline T. Chua Chiaco, members.
The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places are the following:
Mikael Jay Benitez Bonto, Aquinas University, 82.80 percent; Rean Figueroa Bulaon, Technological University of the Philippines-Manila, 82.30; Alvin Eber Garcia Arlanza, University of the Philippines- Diliman, 81.90; Mariel Magpayo Caguingin, University of the Philippines-Diliman, 81.40; Ryan Estrella Caluag, Bulacan State University, 81.20; Victor Paul Garcia Cheng, University of Santo Tomas, 80.90; Frederick Badiola Sajonia, Adamson University, 80.90; Jeremiah Sunga Queddeng, Far Eastern University-Manila, 80.40; Angelo Laurilla Raralio, University of Santo Tomas, 80.30; Rafael III Pamatian Banaag, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, 80.20; Joseph Liwag Agustin, Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Sta. Mesa, 80.10.
The results were released in 15 working days after the last day of examination.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, Feb. 19, but not later than March 9.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), two pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1" x 1" picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), two sets of metered documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the initial registration fee of R600 and annual registration fee of R450 for 2007-2010.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Saturday, March 17 at 1 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel, CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
Pursuant to Section 40 of Republic Act 9266, mandatory registration for membership with the United Architects of the Philippines, Inc. will start on Monday, Feb. 19.
The top performing schools (with 20 or more examinees and with at least 60 percent passing percentage) in the January 2007 Architect Licensure Examination are as follows:
Saint Louis University, 80 percent; Polytechnic University of the Phillipines- Main-Sta. Mesa, 62 percent; University of Santo Tomas, 60 percent.
