George Cabig
Many photographers prefer having studios of their own as a way of creating a home for their craft. Not veteran lensman George Cabig – he who doesn’t need a photo studio as far as his working habit and artistic preference are concerned. He enjoys doing on-location shoots and has become a master himself in capturing images through available light, with just his camera, lighting equipment, and deep passion for the craft.

THROUGH A LENS, CLEARLY
The WPPD Team for 2007 recently emailed the announcement that the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day will be held on April 29, 2007. I received the email because I was one of the 2267 participants from 60 countries that contributed to the 2006 gallery. The special day also saw over 100 events – workshops, exhibits, lectures, etc., held throughout the world.

TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
From the third week of December every year to the third Sunday of January the principal streets of Kalibo come alive in festive revelry with street dancing, live music, colorful fireworks, ethnic parades, cultural programs, religious rites and loud shouts of "Viva cay Señor Santo Niño, Viva." The Ati-Atihan is believed to make barren women fertile, farmers and fishermen to have abundant harvest, businessmen to enjoy good business, to make everyone prosperous and healthy.

FOCAL POINT
The following photographers have certain working habits which greatly helped shape their photographic styles and concepts. Being done for a long time, this set of working procedures become their ‘template’ to successful and effective photography.
