Going for the B(r)e(a)st EVERY MOTHER WHO wants to breastfeed their newborns ought to know that they don’t really have that much breastmilk yet during the first two or three days. This knowledge can prevent them from wringing their hands in early frustration and insecurity as well as help avert early switching to formulas. Mothers of newborns have maybe just two or three teaspoons of yellow colostrum which already meet the requirements of their baby, who’s still full from her feedings while inside the womb.
