Baby boy dies in Sta. Mesa fire
A one-and-a-half-year-old boy died after he was trapped inside their burning apartment in Sta. Mesa, Manila before noon yesterday.

Cop caught with shabu in Quiapo
Members of the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested a fellow policeman assigned at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame before dawn yesterday for allegedly possessing shabu and loitering without a mission order at the Islamic Center in Quiapo during clearing operations for the visit of President Arroyo later in the day.
