Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART), in its commitment to offer the most innovative mobile services, recently announced the availability of Mobile Eye, a 3G device powered by SMART, which functions as a security camera allowing Smart subscribers to keep an eye on just about anything via video call using their 3G mobile phones.
Using 3G technology, the Mobile Eye is a device that enables Smart subscribers to closely monitor their household, businesses, and everything else they value most. This new device does not require any special installation and may easily be set up within a specified venue as long as there is 3G signal. Accessing it is also very simple and easy as access is made possible by using video call through a 3G-enabled Smart mobile phone. Subscribers will now be able to view what the Mobile Eye captures on the other end and may even be heard as it has a built-in speaker.
"With the introduction of the Mobile Eye, Smart brings subscribers a digital life solution that allows one to keep an eye on family and on property," says Danilo J. Mojica, Head of SMART’s Wireless Consumer Division. "This product brings convergence to people and their worlds, giving them peace of mind knowing that what they value most can be accessed and seen through their mobile phones while they are away," he adds.
The Mobile Eye has a security function that prompts the callers for a PIN which may be set by the owner. It allows a maximum of 20 users to access it for as long as the PIN is made known to them.
The Mobile Eye will be available to all Smart subscribers starting March 24, 2007 for P9,595.00 at all SMART Wireless Centers located in key cities nationwide.
