Her wedding day is probably the most unforgettable moment for every woman who dreams of walking down the aisle and becoming one with the man of her life. But in these hard times, the Filipina bride’s dream wedding all too often remains a dream.
QTV-11, a network positioned as a woman’s channel, saw this as an opportunity for the station to create a reality show that would serve the needs of the Filipina brides wanting to make their dream weddings a reality. Thus, "Here Comes The Bride" was born.
"Here Comes the Bride" is a reality show about the journey and adventures of 5 real-life engaged couples who were chosen from the hundreds of interested couples who auditioned for the opportunity to have the wedding and honeymoon of their dreams.
Couple No.1: The Instant Connection Couple - Alvaire & Jean
On the one fateful day that Jean and Alvaire first met, the attraction was instant and passion was immediate. Since then, the couple has been inseparable. Alvaire is "artistahin" while Jean is confident, liberated, and funny. Both are managers at their respective call center companies in Ortigas and Makati and are currently living with Jean’s family.
Couple No.2: The Rock Star Couple - Sherwin & Shirley
Music is what bonded Sherwin and Shirley. Rocking and rolling in China and Hong Kong as vocalists of the same band eventually caused their friendship to bloom into romance. Now that they are back home, they intend to make beautiful music together as a husband and wife team. They both dream of a garden wedding serenaded by a quartet.
Couple No.3: The Chinese Couple - Wilfred & Theresa
Wilfred and Theresa own a stall at 168 in Binondo, Manila. Early last year, they were all set to marry, until the mall was raided. Starting over with their businesses forced them to set aside their wedding plans. Theresa is a non-traditional Chinese girl while Wilfred grew up in a very traditional Chinese family. Theresa also wants to shatter the notion that all Chinese are rich by sharing their love story.
Couple No.4: The Christian Couple - Orly & Vanessa
Orly and Vanessa have been sweethearts for four years now but not once have they kissed. They are both Born-Again Christians who spend most of their time together in church. They also have no memory of ever having a quarrel—not even a small fight—in their relationship.
Couple No.5: The Artist & the Volunteer Couple - Silver & Ayee
Silver is a graphics artist while Ayee is a volunteer at an organization that takes care of kids with cancer. Silver has long been wanting to marry Ayee but her parents had issues with letting go of their unica hija. After six long years of waiting, Ayee’s parents finally said yes to Silver’s proposal.
All couples will undergo a series of tasks and tests that will surely challenge their compatibility and the intimacy of their relationship. All activities in the series are created with the objective of bringing the bride- and groom-to-be closer to each other.
There will be a panel of judges for each activity who will process the experiences of the couples and assess who among them is most prepared for married life. Three levels of elimination will take place and the couples themselves will get to vote out another couple.
The lucky couple proclaimed the grand winner in "Here Comes The Bride" will receive a grand wedding and honeymoon prize package worth over P 3 million. With Fernwood Gardens as the wedding and grand reception venue, the winning couple gets to choose between a vintage Bentley and a stretch limousine as their bridal car. Personalized wedding invitations will be printed by V Craft. Josiah’s Catering will prepare a sumptuous dinner for over 250 guests while Scenta Flora, with their fresh and exquisite flowers, will turn the church and the reception venue into a fairytale-like scene as imagined by the bride.

Barongs for the ninongs and the groom’s men will be designed by Susie Bonaobra.
Giving the bride a fresh look on her wedding day is expert makeup artist Barbi Chan; makeup for the rest of the entourage will be by Eddie Bruan. Nikki Bacay of Schwarzkopf International will do hairstyling for the bride and groom. The Belo Medical Group will take care of skin treatments and other cosmetic needs of the couple for an entire month before their wedding day.
The bride and groom will be treated to a grand 2 night-3 day stay at the luxurious EDSA Shangri-la Hotel.
The beautiful bridal jewelry and the intricate wedding rings will be specially designed for the couple by Just Jewels. The Manila Philharmonic Strings will serenade everyone at the church ceremony and at the reception. Chocolate Confections provide the wedding souvenirs and gifts for all the sponsors and guests.
Livening up the night will be a specially designed fireworks display from Starmakers, along with surprise celebrity guests. Topping it all off is a grand honeymoon package for the newlyweds.
