Congress bet vows more jobs in Taguig
spacer

Jett Reyes, a congressional candidate in the second district of Taguig City, pledged yesterday to promote full employment in the city through training programs and livelihood projects.

Reyes also vowed to promote education as a means of acquiring knowledge and skills to make residents of the city more competitive in landing high-paying jobs.

Reyes said he would tap the services of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in providing technological training to the Taguig youth. He will also contact various enterprises, foundations and non-government organizations to provide manpower skills training for those who could not be accommodated by TESDA.

According to Reyes, getting out-of-school youth to attend job training programs is also the best way of keeping them out of trouble and preventing them from joining criminal groups.

"To create more job opportunities, I will promote and encourage the establishment and expansion of commercial, manufacturing and processing establishments in Taguig, which is one of the newest cities in the Metro Manila area," said Reyes.
