Filipino Peace Women: Women with a purpose In 2002, a group of women leaders from the Swisspeace Foundation, an NGO based in Bern, Switzerland embarked on a search for 1,000 women from all over the world, who are working for the promotion and pursuit of peace. The foundation’s goal was to document the women’s work, and nominate to the Nobel Peace Prize.
Anak TV The title was as perplexing as it was simple. The come on was that three networks were to simulcast it daily. This must be a big production for it to deserve such coverage. The last time Filipino audiences had such royal arrangement was when Marcos was still the Malacanang occupant. Depending on how a Pinoy regarded the dictator and his ilk, such silly simulcasts were either enjoyed or endured.
