Implementing rules readied for Electronic Commerce Act
The government is set to issue implementing rules and regulations that will govern electronic trade of goods and services under Republic Act 8792, the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000, which regulates and supervises the development of e-commerce in the country.

Poultry industry to boost exports
The Philippine Association of Broiler Integrators is aiming to export about 5,000 to 10,000 metric tons of poultry products, mainly to Japan, from only 1,000 MT last year. Prior to the July 2005 export ban, the private sector already targetted a 10,000 MT poultry export in that year.

Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Philippines’ leading domestic carrier and low-fare leader, carried its 20 millionth passenger in April 2007.

P/$ rate closes at P46.935/$ 1
The peso exchange rate closed higher at P46.935 to the US dollar yesterday at the Philippine Dealing Exchange from P47.06 the previous day. The weighted average rate appreciated to P46.957 from P47.012. Total volume amounted to $ 616 million.
