One of the members of ABS-CBN Star Magic Batch 15, Krista looks at her co-members as partners for success rather than competitors. She attributes to the bond and closeness they have formed since day one of their workshops together, their formal launching and now with their various works in showbiz.

"I know it’s a competition but it’s a healthy one for us and it’s not destructive," said the 16-year-old former cheerleader and gymnast of Collegio de San Agustin. "In our batch if there are some who can’t do something, we always help them out. That’s why we know that if one makes it, everyone will make it. Even before we were launched, we’ve been praying together and we are very close to each other. So kapag merong isang sisikat lahat kami sisikat kasi dikit dikit kami!"

Krista also stressed that since being an "artista" has been her childhood dream, she is here to give more than 100% effort to succeed.

Krista was accidentally discovered inside ABS-CBN during her Journalism class field trip last Feb. 12. She was spotted by Jet "Chinky" Valle when they passed by the broadcasting area near the studio of the noon time show "Wowowee." She remembered that she said she know how to sing and dance when Jet asked her if she’s interested to join showbiz.

"Gusto ko po talagang mag-showbiz. I was already a commercial model before so showbiz is in line with that. I also love performing in front of people that’s why I became a cheerleader for years and I joined CSA Dance Troupe and I was a member of the Teatro Agustino. Mahilig po talaga akong mag–perform," shared Krista who’s been a regular SM print ad model and who has done TV commercials for Rexona and Modess.

Even before her workshops under Talent Center, Krista has taken up voice lessons and gymnastics in her younger years. She has also taken upon herself to always look presentable wherenever she goes out. Most importantly, her driving force even before showbiz was her passion to entertain people.

"I’m very lucky to be here because I think what our batch wants to do to entertain people. We want to show that we have something different, that we are a different batch," quipped Krista.

"Everything that we do, even during our workshops, we always go for take one. Kaya gusto ko pag taping na I always try to go for the take-one. Ayaw kong masabihan that I didn’t give my best. Hindi kami mediocre people," she exclaimed.

So what was her parents’ advice to her when she joined showbiz?

"Jehova’s Witnesses po kami so lahat quiet lang. But if I decided on something I always ask my parent’s permission and I really put my head to it and I try to do my best. They just told to take care of myself. My dad who’s British and old na, nang nalaman niyang I’ll be in showbiz, he was so proud and he asked me to send him tapes. He is proud of me and he even told relatives in England already about me," she related.

At the moment, Krista Valle is one of the new characters (raising the total cast members of young stars to 27) in Star Magic Presents "Abt ur Luv (Ur Lyf 2)" which started last June 2. She plays Jo Walker, who’s tagged as a "rockerchick" in the show. Her loveteam mate in the show in Mikee Lee.

"I’m a regular for 15 weeks so I hope everyone connects to my character. I’m supposed to be a really smart girl who’s into rock!"

"Abt Ur Luv" is actually Krista’s favorite show in ABS-CBN even before she became a member of Star Magic 15. She prides herself of having memorized the show’s theme song. His favorite actors too are Enchong Dee and Victor Basa.

"Dati po I was just watching it tapos nagulat ako na cast na po ako. So dream come true ito!"

So what has changed so far?

"Before when we were going to ABS-CBN, pinapatigil kami ng guards, ngayon hindi na," cheered Krista. "And during our tapings sa Laguna, people would ask for our autographs at nagpapa-picture sila. Ginagawa namin yun noon kahit hindi pa kami lumalabas sa TV."

Well, none of the above will happen anymore since she will soon become a recognizable face in showbiz because Krista Valle is ON THE RISE!
