IT WAS MOTHERS’ Day all over again as the first-ever Moms ‘n Kids Fair at the SM Megamall unreeled last May 18 at the Megatrade Hall, providing a welcome respite to the public after the tension-filled elections and a treat to the most important women in the world.
Organized by the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall and event manager Cut Unlimited, the fair had a host of family-oriented and star-studded activities, displays and exhibits, and non-stop variety events.
A festive mood prevailed in the opening day with a colorful parade of mascots courtesy of Kiddie Party and costumed children accompanied by SM Megamall’s Marching Band.
WS Sports Inc. held a Swimming for Beginners session and introduced its latest safety swimwear for children called Plouf, made up of revolutionary Fabric from Europe.
Alaska Milk held its Power Camp, while Magnolia unveiled its latest tasty and economical creations for the incoming school year in My Mom’s Best Pambaon Recipe.
In addition, Chef Rosebud of QTV 11’s Ka-Toque introduced another one of her unique recipes for the family in a cooking demonstration, while Wilma Doesnt and Lucy Torres presided in do-it-yourself segments
The fair concluded with the QTV 11 Moms Segment hosted by Manilyn Reynes, Lani Mercado and Sherilyn Reyes, and and other surprise QTV celebrities.
There were also arts and crafts workshops, kiddie fashion shows, giant playgrounds, product sampling, face painting, and various contests for moms and kids’ bonding.
