Amidst all the buzz and fuss on the new twelve (12) senators who were proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the question in the minds of most Filipinos remain, if they can make better legislations for the upliftment of many, expecially among the poor. SINGAPORE (DPA) — Political and business leaders from Asia started arriving in Singapore yesterday for the 16th World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia to examine the region’s growth and effect on the global power equation.
The meeting brings together 300 delegates from 25 countries today, Sunday, and tomorrow, Monday.
According to Lee Howell, head of Asia for the WEF, the meeting is about setting an agenda 10 years after the 1997 financial crisis in Southeast Asia.
