Agri Plain Talk HERE are some interesting notes gathered from our recent trip to Davao City. Mangosteen is really cheap down there. At Bangkerohan, mangosteen is being sold at P20 a kilo. The other day, we saw the same fruit in a big supermart in Manila priced at P200 per kilo.
New hibiscus named after famed pediatrician A new hibiscus hybrid (gumamela) produced by plant breeders in Los Baños has been named after well known pediatrician Dr. Perla Santos Ocampo, former president of the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). The plant was presented to the honoree during a testimonial dinner at a well known hotel in Pasig City recently.
Nat’l bonsai show set in Cubao The 4th National Bonsai Open Competition and Exhibition will be held on October 12 to 21 at the Gateway Mall and Coliseum Parking Lot at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.
