It seems weekends are something of the past, so are vacations, sick leaves and public holidays too, as Sony Ericsson brings to us another way of taking the office with us wherever we go. Sporting a new look for their P-series smartphone line, the 5th-generation P1i boasts top-of-the-line features for business and leisure.
Reality Bites: I am (for) SAM...
Remember the 2001 Sean Peen movie "I am SAM" where he played a mentally retarded man who fought for the custody of his 7-year-old daughter (Dakota Fanning), and in the process teaches his lawyer (Michelle Pfeiffer) the value of love and family. My article has nothing to do with being retarted, but more about the fact that SAM cannot care for her daughter because of his condition but he actually can. My story is the opposite - an organization pretending to care but it has another agenda under its sleeves.

Being one of the ten consumers chosen to participate in Nokia’s Soul of Manila Wireless Adventure Race was a new experience. I was surprised when I got a confirmation from Nokia that I got qualified to join the race. At first, I thought that the race would be a physical and tiring one but not as how we expected it.

Aside from the fact that computer subjects are taught in school, it is perhaps the easy accessibility of these things which makes our young ones adept with technology at an early age. Desktops and laptops are as common as TVs and microwaves in most homes; hence, it is no longer a wonder if Princess or Junior knows stuff which would have been unthinkable in Mom or Dad’s generation, such as building websites.

Why is it that when your computer gives you the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), you just shrug it off and simply reboot your computer? Why is it that when a document from a new version of Microsoft Office cannot be opened using your old version, it is ok? Why are you so forgiving of a platform that gives you all of these issues - are you a masochist?
