Edith B. Sola, APR, the CEO of World Communications (Phils) Inc. (WorldComPhil), has been chosen as the lone Asian speaker to join more than 40 leading industry experts in this coming October’s International PR Congress in the Middle East.
Other speakers in this forum includes Alastair Campbell, communications and strategy adviser to then Prime Minister Tony Blaire; and Colleen Harris MVO, former Press Secretary to HRH The Prince of Wales.
Sola’s extensive background in PR and communications management has not only maintained her competitive edge among the country’s PR practitioners, it has also gained her wide acclaim in the international PR scene.
With more than 20 years of experience in PR and Integrated Marketing Communications under her belt, Sola’s dynamic presence is considered a staple in both local and international conferences.
Prior to the upcoming Middle East convention, she was also selected as lone speaker from the Asia Pacific Region to the International Public Relations Association and the Public Relations Society of America Congress in Chicago in 2002. She has been known to conduct various training workshops on subjects like Corporate Communications, Reputation Management, Cross Boarder Communications, Issues Management, Relationship Marketing, and Brand Management across multiracial audiences in countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, Istanbul, United States, Belfast, Brussels, Tokyo and Dubai not to forget in many forums around the country.
In 1993, Sola partnered with global PR giant Worldcom PR Group Inc. where she consequently served as Regional Chairman of the Asia Pacific for three terms. Not one to focus merely on the international scene, Sola has also been consistently active in the Public Relations Society of the Philippines where she was elected Director for 3 terms, chaired the Professional Development Committee and the most coveted, Anvil Awards. She has also served as Executive Director of the World Young Business Achievers Award, an international Award Body that recognized successful young leaders in business and entrepreneurship.

She has cut across segments of the country’s communications management arena and has a well rounded appreciation of Philippine subcultures. She speaks several local languages in the same way she gets by with some foreign languages.
Sola maintains a hectic schedule as she concurrently acts as the Senior Consultant of the World Communications Gulf, LLC in Dubai where she spends half of her time expanding her cross-cultural communications expertise beyond the Asia Pacific to the EMEA Region.
