Heaven on a Hilltop

Do you dream of a wedding reception on a dewy morning, basking in hazy, early morning sunlight atop a verdant hill? Maybe you want to hold your wedding reception under a wide, starry night sky with candlelight, romantic music and fantastic floral arrangements? Whatever your dream may be it can become a reality courtesy of Wedding Essentials, with ample help from The Flower Garden and The Hilltop at the Mimosa Resort in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Jannette Olalia-Garbes, one of the pioneer event stylists in Pampanga, with eleven creative years under her imaginative belt, brings elegance and class to every occasion she is asked to handle. For this particular photo shoot at the Hilltop in Mimosa, she uses pink and brown as the basis for her inspiration, which was also fueled by what she saw in her recent trips to Norway and Sweden.

The Hilltop is a multi-purpose reception venue that can accommodate five hundred guests. Located in the midst of the sprawling golf course of Mimosa, the Hilltop has a commanding view of the entire estate. In this beautiful venue Jannette created floral arrangements that are eye catching and romantic. She made several standing arrangements which she draped with brown satin cloth and crowned with roses and dried vines that frame the presidential table. For this photo shoot she mixed shades of brown and shades of pink. To create more drama she added scented candles and glass vases of different heights where she used flowers like carnations, snapdragons, delphiniums, and hydrangeas. As an added touch, she made use of two flamingos to represent the couple. She also created floral balls of pale pink roses with pink ribbons that she tied to each of the Tiffany chairs. Her dark brown satin table cover has a pale pink table runner that goes well with the pink table napkins, setting off the silverware and plate chargers. For this reception set-up, Jannette truly created heaven at the Hilltop.
