Storytelling is a beautiful and powerful art form.
Indeed there is an artist in everybody; because if one can talk, to put it simply, he can do storytelling. In some countries they use this art form to teach children about history, geography, mathematics, ethics and the like.
To introduce this art form of painting pictures with the tongue in elementary public and private schools in the National Capital Region, Region III and Region IV-A this school year, The Real Bank, Department of Education, and Mary Lindbert International organized the school program called Bata...Bata...Magimpok at Magsinop.
"We’re now on our fourth year of partnership and we’ve decided to further impart our advocacy on teaching the old Filipino value of thriftiness to grade school students by adapting real life lessons and concepts on thriftiness and saving via The Real Bank Big Book," said The Real Bank Chairman of the Board Jose G. Araullo.
The book, entitled Mga Kwento ni Lolo Pepe has three true-to-life stories that can surely empower the children by arming them with the lessons that Pepe shares. It gives the reader a sense of history, a chance to succeed as they see others succeed, and in a way, help in sharing their own natural creativity.
