Hi there,
My name is Ron Soliman. I was browsing through Manila Bulletin today and came across your Picture Perfect section. Kudos to MB and to you Mr. Jayme for putting this together. This helps a lot of photo enthusiasts here in the Philippines to get inspiration from the experts in the field of photography. In my time when I was starting photography in high school at Don Bosco here in the Philippines, I found it hard to get resources like yours.
This is also one of the the reasons why I want to contribute my story to your section and possibly feature my works. I want to give inspiration to the young photography enthusiast out there, who are looking at getting into photojournalist and wedding photography. I am currently the Director of Photography and Multimedia of The News Journal in Wilmington, Delaware, a USA Today sister paper. I’ve been a photojournalist for more than 10 years and I am also currently the National contest chairman of National Press Photographers Association in the USA. I want to encourage many Filipino photojournalist to be part of this international organization, too. I also own a corporation in the US that’s specializing in wedding photojournalism.
