PENANG, Malaysia — Sally Mae Siso continued her domination of the 2007 Malaysia Junior Tennis Circuit following another double championship performance yesterday in the Penang Open International age group tournament at the Universiti Students Malaysia (USM) hardcourts here.
Sally Mae, Cebu City’s pride and joy, turned back her doubles partner Theiveya Selvarajoo 6-0, 6-4 to bag the girls’ 14-under singles division, then paired with the Selangor netter to trounce Yeoh Sue Lynn Karin and Ti Jia Min of Korea 6-1, 6-0 in the doubles event.
Sally Mae, who also pocketed 2 titles in the kick-off Selangor leg, spearheaded another triumphant Milo-RP team campaign together with elder brother Bernandine Siso, who downed Peraljit Singh 6-1, 6-4 for the singles trophy before teaming up with the same Singh to nip Malaysians Hoo Seng Chen and Kenneth Tan Wei 6-4, 6-3 in the boys’ 14-under bracket.
Vince Mark Tabotabo of Tuburan in Cebu Province edged Korean Jeong Jin Won 6-1, 6-4 in the boys’ 10-under class.
