Budget for Mindanao hiked to P180 B
Mindanao leaders yesterday lauded the House of Representatives for approving a huge increase in the lump sum budget for the region in the proposed 2008 General Appropriations Act, which House Speaker Jose C. de Venecia Jr. said is roughly equivalent to P180 billion.
AFP discovers security lapses of soldiers guarding Trillanes
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has found lapses in the security of military escorts that eventually led to the sixhour standoff at the Manila Peninsula Hotel between the government and a group led by Sen.
