Last week, LG, Electronics has unveiled their newest phone for the Philippine market – the LG Viewty KU990. This phone is the company’s first professional-level camera phone packed with breakthrough features that consumers will surely enjoy.

Sensational style and ultimate functionality is what the LG Viewty embodies. The 5-Megapixel handset includes manual focus feature which is the first time to be offered by a handset globally. This camera feature allows users to set focus on any point at their own convenience, giving a perfect picture every time.

Additional unique features of the Viewty are the ISO800, SmartLight™ and one-touch image stabilizer for bright and clear pictures when taking photos in low light conditions or shaking moment. Once a picture has been taken, users can instantly view and edit the image on the 3-inch LCD touch screen with its handwriting editing function.

As part of the launch of LG Viewty, LG Electronics Philippines also introduced the LG Heroes – where four real people with real stories and outstanding abilities are chosen by LG to complement the unveiling of the LG Viewty phone.

National jet ski champion Paul Del Rosario, respected sportscaster and Solar Sports top executive Jude Turcuato, lensman and car buff James Deakin, and Philippine Airlines trainor Divine de Gracia were able to capture some of their precious moments using the LG Viewty and their photos were showcased during the launch.

LG Electronics Philippines also gave away several LG KU250 and KU380 mobile phones to lucky attendees. But among the crowd, Hubert Lim and Ariel Ablaza were the most lucky for both of them were able to take home each an LG Viewty phone.

The new LG Viewty combines sensational style with ultimate functionality. This 5-megapixel high-tech handset includes manual focus, which is the first time this feature will be available in a handset globally. With a manual option, the camera focus can be set on any point at the user’s convenience giving a perfect picture every time. When taking photos in poor light or shaking moment, the user can also benefit from ISO800 and SmartLight™ and one-touch image stabilizer for bright and clear pictures.

The world’s first LCD full-touch screen was introduced by LG with the launch of the Prada Phone by LG. This feature has now been enhanced in LG Viewty by adding a touch signal to allow the user to confirm proper functioning of the touch screen.

Once a picture has been taken, the user can instantly view and edit the image on the 3-inch LCD touch screen with its handwriting editing function. The full screen also enable users to enjoy high-quality DivX video files in wide screen format.

Navigating through the phone is also possible using the jog wheel placed at the back of the handset around the camera lens. This allows quick scrolling and searching, and, when playing music or videos, it can turn the volume up and down, fast-forward or rewind, and zoom in and out. Users can easily select the modes – "camera," "video," or "album," with the 3-step module key.
