NEC’s Christmas offering came in the form of something more meaningful and lasting.
NEC Foundation has awarded anew 15 new scholars in fulfillment of its commitment to support deserving but poor students of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) courses.
This is the 21st year of NEC Foundation’s scholarship program which has so far produced more than 90 graduates nationwide since its inception in 1986.
Leonardo H. Santos, Executive Vice President of NEC Foundation Inc., said that he is very proud about NEC’s role in shaping future Filipino ICT professionals. "It is a Christmas present whose value will be felt long after this year’s Yuletide festivities has faded away – this is because we are helping more young Filipinos to partake of the vast opportunities that lie in store for those who become ICT professionals," Santos said.
This year’s scholars are: Anna Araño, Winona Baguio, Rich Canlas, Lani Cadampog, Rachelle Cauan, Veronica Castillo, Jellica Cruz, Bryan Donor, Murphy Forrosuelo, Greg Hermosa, Jobert Gimeno, Renan Nuestro, Sherwin Orijuela, Mark Raymundo, and Avice Silva.
