The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is gearing up for more than 52 million voters in the May, 2010 presidential, congressional, local and party-list elections.
The Supreme Court (SC) has designated 117 trial courts as environmental or "green" courts to handle expeditiously all environmental cases like those involving illegal fishing, illegal logging, illegal mining, and dumping of toxic wastes.
Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno said the trial courts designated as "green" courts will be identified after all pending environmental cases shall have been verified.
