Asus Nova P22 mini PC

The ASUS Nova P22 is a powerful and portable dual core mini-desktop PC. Designed for space-conscious users who demand ultra-quiet operations, the Nova requires only 122 cubic inches of space and incorporates an Intel Core 2 Duo processor that is cooled passively and actively by a heat dissipation module, heat pipes and fans. Completing the ensemble, a pair of built-in speakers at the front of the Nova offers convenient high quality audio output. For home theater configurations, the Nova also supports 5.1 speaker configurations with Dolby Digital Live or DTS connect technology. Additionally, the Nova accommodates nearly any environment with ease, thanks to its flexible horizontal/vertical placement, slot-loading drive and its sleek exterior.

Mr. Leon Yu, Asus Country Manager for the Philippines said that Asus believes that consumers would love this new unit not only because of the features but also because of the minimalistic design. "Nova P22 fits into any environment with ease and suitable for those who are space conscious, desire better mobility and flexibility when working or sharing digital content indoors." Yu said.

Mr. Lardy Caisip President of Enigma Technologies said that he believes that it would not take the desktop world by storm the same way the Eee PC did with notebooks because of the price but he also said that the P22 mini PC’s Mac mini-like form factor would stir the market and it would surely capture the interest of the consumers because of its features.

Thermally Advantaged Chassis (TAC): Cool and Stable Operations

The TA-B1 is compliant with Intel’s Thermally Advantaged Chassis (TAC) standard that promises superb thermal efficiency while minimizing acoustic noise levels generated from the cooling fan running at higher speeds. The CAG 1.1 side panel generates smooth airflow to lower CPU and video card temperatures; and the adjustable air-duct ensures airtight contact with the CPU to efficiently funnel cool air towards the CPU. Additionally, the unique rear venting holes enhances ventilation around the add-on cards. Internet Camera:

ASUS Mimic CX200 is a compact stand-alone web-server capable of remote video surveillance. It can be accessed from anywhere in the world via a standard browser by entering the IP Address, account and password. Each system can support an additional USB PC cameras be it regular, infra-red or pan-titlt. With its built-in web-server, ASUS Mimic CX200 can stream video images directly to the Internet without have to go through a computer.

ASUS Mimic CX200 features a Windows-based software that allows the user to archive streaming video directly to the hard-drive. The same software also allows the user to monitor multiple cameras on one screen.
