Mozcom, the country’s 1st Commercial ISP, will once again be a supporting partner of E-services Philippines, the annual global sourcing conference and exhibit of the Department of Trade and Industry.
This major ICT event marks a huge gathering of exhibitors ranging from diverse industries such as business processing, contact centers, software and game development, medical transcription, animation and design. It aims to provide a venue for industry players to showcase their line of expertise and also to promote the world-class capabilities of IT-enabled services in the country. In the same light, the event seeks to facilitate business matching and networking through exposing participants to their target market. This is a perfect venue for exploring opportunities in the field of IT with regard to growth, expansion and development.
The theme of this year’s conference is "Outsourcing Centers of Excellence" where the best business practices in the industry will be highlighted. The conference and exhibit pull together a marketplace for IT professionals and practitioners to exchange not only goods and services but also valuable information on new trends, industry updates, market behavior and technological advances.
While potential outsourcers and interested investors will enjoy a significant exposure to promising business opportunities, conference goers can also take advantage of the chance to learn from insightful industry experts. This will be facilitated through panel discussions that will be conducted simultaneously with the exhibit.
Dr. William T. Torres says, "Through the years, Mozcom has been the official ISP of e-Services Philippines. This year, not only are we providing the access to the Internet but also a wide range of services like video streaming, video conferencing and Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP." This goes to show how Mozcom continues to reinforce its efforts in providing innovative business solutions and opportunities, in order to contribute in augmenting the quality of communication and technology services in the country.
In support of this ICT-driven endeavor, Mozcom will set-up two E1 lines, providing conference goers with 4Mbps of redundant bandwidth and free wireless access. The event will take place on February 11-12 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Mozcom will also be providing Web streaming services that will be installed at the Plenary Hall and exhibit area of the conference. This makes the event available for viewing from different locations via the Internet. A Video Conferencing facility will also be installed in the VIP lounge where exhibitors can set up meetings with resource persons or audiences in remote areas. On the same occasion, Mozcom will offer the means for visitors to use Mozcom VCall Stations to make international VoIP calls. This is made possible through the use of VCards which are prepaid access cards that processes VoIP calls. The stations will be placed at strategic locations in the Exhibit site.
Mozcom believes that this event offers an equal opportunity for companies, whether big or small, to boost awareness about their products. It provides a vehicle for companies to have their services integrated in the digital infrastructure of prospective clients. The active participation coming from a broad spectrum of business solutions providers also reflects that ICT in the Philippines continues to be progressive.
