Photo printing in SMART wireless centers
Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART), in partnership with Kodak and YKL Color, is offering photo printing services in six wireless centers in Metro Manila. Smart subscribers centers can print within seconds pictures from cellular phones via Bluetooth and other access multimedia like SD cards, memory stick, xD, Compact Flash, CD-ROM and USB memory card.

New Symbian worm hits Nokia mobile phones
Security vendor Fortinet has diagnosed a malicious SymbianOS Worm that is actively spreading on mobile phone networks. Fortinet’s threat response team has warned that the worm, identified as SymbOS/Beselo.A!worm, is able to run on several Symbian S60-enabled devices. These include the Nokia 6600, 6630, 6680, 7610, N70 and N72 handsets.

IBM and SAP to jointly develop business software
IBM and SAP AG announced plans to deliver their first joint software product codenamed "Atlantic" that will integrate IBM Lotus Notes software with SAP Business Suite. The combined efforts to create "Atlantic" will result in a new style of applications that present information and data in the context of users familiar with the Lotus Notes desktop.

EMC unveils software as a service for data backup
EMC Corporation unveiled its software-as-a-service (SaaS) strategy and the release of MozyEnterprise powered by EMC Fortress for online backup of desktops, laptops and remote Windows servers. EMC also announced several new reseller agreements with business partners to offer MozyEnterprise online backup services to their customers.

Sony Ericsson expands PlayNow arena with 5 million new tracks
Sony Ericsson announced deals with 10 major record labels, adding over 5 million new tracks to its extensive catalogue. The 10 record labels are Sony BMG, Warner Music Group, EMI, The Orchard, IODA, The PocketGroup, Hungama, X5 Music, Bonnier Amigo and VidZone.
