Lee Myung-bak takes oath as President of SK
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- Hard-charging former businessman Lee Myung-bak took the oath of office as South Korea’s new president Monday, vowing to revitalize the economy, strengthen relations with the US and deal with nuclear-armed North Korea.
Pro-administration and anti-administration rallies were held yesterday in at least four areas in Metro Manila to mark the 22th anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolt.
The pro-administration rally led by House of Representatives Speaker Prospero Nograles and some 100 other congressmen and attended by more than 10,000 people was held at the Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila.
