Thousands of fruit bats (Golden Crown Flying Fox and Giant Flying Foxes, also known as pteropus vampyrus) are seen in Barangay Ticulab which is some 15 kilometers from the poblacion of Maitum, Sarangani.

The world’s largest bat, the fruit bat, can have a wing-span of over six feet and weight of well over 2.5 pouds. Other flora and fauna found in Ticulab are wild orchids, kalaw (horn bill), eaglesand .
