Webfocus takes lead in web dev’t

The World Wide Web is the new marketplace today.

Companies wanting a bigger market share should not be confined in a box but go where the clients are. Thus, it is now imperative for companies to have their own websites.

For five years, Webfocus Solutions Inc. has been helping companies establish their presence in the Internet with its website development services. Ryan S. Yu, president and chief executive officer of Webfocus, said Webfocus, as the name implies, has a very specific thrust. He says, "We want to be the leading web development company in the Philippines that offers complete solutions to business enterprise based on the specific needs of a client, both their future and present needs while excelling in giving personal service and customer support."

In its early years, Webfocus developed websites on a mass basis, but soon changed tact, seeing that each client has a unique need. "Customizing each project takes time. For example, client needs e-commerce applications in their websites. Not just websites that only give information on their companies but websites that can boost sales," Yu says. That has been the key to Webfocus’s tremendous growth. In 2004-2005 alone, the company doubled its customer base and remains the choice of discerning clients.

From top to bottom, Webfocus has its expertise written all over. Its pricing gives the most value for money and it has properly trained staff. "We’re not cheap but when clients see what we can provide them, it’s really getting the real deal, with high quality service. We also make it sure to get good people and empower them," adds Yu.

A website production starts from knowing the clients needs, then findings are submitted to the software architect to develop a website master plan, and finally the plan is turned over to the graphic designers. "We’re able to do that because we’re a company. We can hire multidiscplinary people," Yu says.

The website team offers professional insights so that Webfocus is really not just selling products but providing solutions to clients. Webfocus has almost a thousand clients including, International Container Terminal Services Inc., which once won the best website in the web awards, Rough Rider Jeans, Promac, Honda Kalookan, Honda San Pablo, the Department of Budget and Management, City of Quezon, City of Mandaluyong, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and Philippine Retailers Association.
