Techie Mommy Talks: Beauty Enhancements

(How technology plays a major role in it)

Nowadays anyone can look like a million dollars --- for a fee of course!

And yes, for those willing to do away (or set aside) an amount to be able to have that dream face, looks and figure well then there are several ways to go about it.

There are invasive and non-invasive procedures and services. "I need to lose 30 pounds," says Marina, a mother of three.

"I need to have my nose lifted to make me have a cute turned up nose," says Vina, a call center representative in Eastwood city, who’s always dreamed of having that Victoria Beckham nose.

And there’s Roxy, who wanted a complete "overhaul" – eyes, lips, hair and eyelash extensions, liposuction and breast augmentation - name it! She’s had all of them done and VOILA! Now she looks like the closest thing to an FHM cover/Stepford wife to her hubby of 25-years!

Let’s take a look at these modern day "technological beauty breakthroughs."

Have you ever considered having plastic surgery? Read on before you decide if you might want the surgery or you might not.

Plastic surgery, a form of art, can reconstruct your body and renew your confidence but can you accept the risks involved? Plastic surgery ranges from forty thousand pesos to two hundred thousand pesos or more depending on the surgery (Body fat reduction: Suction-Assisted Lipectomy). There are plenty types of plastic surgery. So to those willing to pay the price all it takes is that first step – putting one’s foot into the plastic surgeon’s clinic door!

One such type of a procedure is called liposuction. The best candidates for liposuction are of relatively normal weight with pockets of excess fat in particular areas. They should be physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in their expectations. An important thing is to have firm and elastic skin. "Loose, drooping skin won’t reshape to your body’s new contours, and may require an additional procedure to surgically remove the excess skin. It will leave visible scars.

If you are considering liposuction, be realistic. Although dramatic results can be achieved, they may not be as immediate or obvious as you would like. As with all plastic surgery, the success of liposuction will depend on a number of individual factors, such as age, skin elasticity, weight, and overall health.

Liposuction is not appropriate for people with a weakened immune system, diabetes, heart or artery problems, or a history of blood clots or restricted blood flow. You are a good candidate for liposuction if you are of normal weight; have healthy, elastic skin; and have specific "trouble areas" such as the tummy, thighs, and butt that will not respond to changes in diet and exercise.

Liposuction is also appropriate for women who are considering breast reduction, and for men who suffer from gynecomastia, or male breast development. Before you decide to go through liposuction try diets and weight loss programs. If you can’t loose a certain bulge then liposuction is a good alternative (Thigh Liposculpture).

What is Liposuction? Liposuction is started by making a small incision, (about half an inch or less), in the skin, often in or near the buttock crease or a previous scar. The small suction rod, called a cannula, is inserted and connected to a vacuum source with a suction tube. The vacuum sucks the fat out and leaves everything else intact. Many people have only a vague concept of what liposuction is. Simply put, liposuction is the surgical removal of fat cells through a stainless steel suction tube.

Liposuction was first performed in 1974 and was a tremendous improvement over previous surgical body contouring techniques. There have been many advances in liposuction procedures over the last few decades, making it one of the safest and most popular body-contouring surgeries in the world.

Facial Liposuction - Facial liposuction removes fatty deposits from specific areas of the face such as the chin, neck, and jowls. Facial liposuction rids patients of these excess fat deposits that make them look and feel older. A safe procedure with dramatic results, facial liposuction has helped thousands of people look and feel younger and more attractive.
