Anti-virus and security solutions firm Sophos has won two new deals in the Philippines, the company announced recently.
In a statement, UK-based Sophos said it has signed up local courier company LBC Express Inc., and leading medical group Asian Hospital and Medical Centre.
Financial details of the two new deals, however, were not disclosed.
Sophos said in the Philippines, many large and medium enterprises have turned to Sophos for comprehensive protection of their digital assets. LBC Express Inc., and Asian Hospital and Medical Centre are two new additions to Sophos client list, the company said.
LBC Express Inc. provides express courier and money remittance services with the widest coverage and network in the Philippines. It will implement Sophos NAC Advanced, Sophos Endpoint Security and Control and Sophos Email Security and Control on a multiyear license to protect 2,000 corporate users from daily online threats.
"We were particularly impressed with the security policy enforcement capability of Sophos NAC offering, which drives down costs and is easy to deploy," said Mark Salvador, vice president of information technology at LBC Express. "Additionally, the advanced integration and reduced administration provided by Sophos solutions has also allowed us to do more with less - unlike any from the legacy security vendors."
Also benefiting from Sophos innovative security approach is Asian Hospital and Medical Centre in Manila, which will deploy Sophos NAC Advanced, Sophos Endpoint Security and Control and Sophos Email Security and Control to safeguard its medical records and information infrastructure.
The company said the Philippine deals are part of the six major customer wins it has secured across Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
These wins validate Sophos’s winning market challenger position across the region, and foster its global standing as a compelling alternative to legacy security vendors, the company claims.
"We are seeing an exceptional rise in large and medium enterprises across Southeast Asia switching to us from legacy security vendors," said Jim Dowling, director of sales for Asia at Sophos. "Our offering not only provides easy deployment across their existing network infrastructures, but also minimizes the total cost of ownership and ensures security compliance throughout their corporate network."
