HP, one of the world’s largest IT companies with a portfolio that spans printing, personal computing, software, services and IT infrastructure, for one, has introduced an extensive portfolio of "Microsoft-ready hardware, software, services and solutions that will enable customers to implement a seamless transition to the upcoming Windows Server 2008.
As Microsoft Philippines prepares for the launch of its flagship server and application development products this April, its partners are also getting ready to ensure that customers are equipped for a smooth transition to the new products.

HP will support the latest Microsoft products through interoperability with its hardware and software offerings - including HP integrity, HP ProLiant and HP BladeSystem servers, HP StorageWorks products and HP Software - that will give customers more visibility and control into their IT environments.
This added functionality, combined with improvements in virtualization, server management and security capabilities, will help customers more efficiently manage their IT operations, leading to reduced costs and improved performance of business-critical systems.
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is the next generation of the Windows Server operating system that helps information technology (IT) professionals maximize control over their infrastructure while providing availability and management capabilities. It provides a more secure, reliable, and robust server environment as it is the most secure server from Microsoft.
"Windows Server 2008, along with SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 have built-in enhanced capabilities that address the growing needs of enterprise and developers. As the latest network operating system, we made sure that Windows Server 2008 would be as scalable and as mission-critical as possible," said Nicky Eala, Business Group Director for Server and Tools, Microsoft Philippines.
Eala adds that having the right hardware solution, which complements the core features of an advanced network operating system such as Windows Server 2008 is a key factor in maximizing the benefits of the latest technologies. "We have tapped HP as one of our hardware partners for the launch of the three new products. This partnership will ensure that our early adopters and customers have the right hardware tools that will optimize the way they use our new technology."
