"Sa ngayon mahiwaga pa ang pangyayari, para tayong nagsosolve ng napakahirap na crossword puzzle, at di malaman kung nagpakamatay o pinatay si Mikesell (Right now, the incident is still mysterious, as if we are solving a very difficult crossword puzzle, and we don’t know if it is a case of suicide or murder)," Bantolo said.
Bantolo said that based on the scanty information gathered by intelligence agents and investigators, two motorcycles with drivers were seen parked beside the vehicle of the victim, and later two unidentified men got off, rode again their motorcycles, and sped away.
Last Tuesday at about 3:50 a.m., members of Calumpit police station were conducting mobile patrol along the MacArthur Highway in Barangay Pio Cruz Cosa, when they noticed an XLT Ford Ranger vehicle with plate number ZDB289 parked on the highway.
When the policemen investigated, they saw a dead male person with a caliber .25 pistol between his legs under the vehicle.

The victim was identified by his alien certificate of registration issued by the Bureau of Immigration as Orval Ray Mikesell, 69, businessman, married, resident of 18 Nick Reyes compound, Barangay Bulihan, Malolos City.
His driver’s license issued by Land Transportation Office indicated that he resides at 9 Santos St., Silangan, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
The police probers found inside the vehicle a paper with the following text: "Contact Fe Mikesell at No. 18 Nick Reyes compound, Bulihan, Malolos City."
Police also found a slug and bullet for caliber .25 pistol outside near the vehicle.
Later, the wife of Mikesell identified as Fe arrived at the scene. Police learned from her that the victim is the president of Malolos Rotary Club and teacher and consultant of the Bulacan State University.
The cadaver was brought to Blue Cross Funeral Service for autopsy.
