Toni and Paul: Happy together
spacer

Walden Sadiri

"Sana itinago na lang nila sa pangalang Toni Gonzaga yung blind item."

This was TV host-actress-singer Toni Gonzaga’s reaction to a tabloid blind item saying that she and her boyfriend Paul Soriano are already bored with each other and that they are on the verge of breakup.

"Mukhang ako yung description ng blind item. But it’s not true. I can never be bored with Paul because napakalawak na tao yun. Maraming mapag-uusapan with him. We’re very happy with each other," she explained.

Tony is also taking the blind item lightly since it has been a long time that she has heard rumors or "intrigas" about her and Paul.

"Matagal na rin kaming hindi napapansin," she smiled about her "repeat intriga." "Pero accepted na namin yun. Even before we decided to come out to formally announce that we’re together, we already expected these ‘intrigas’ especially on his part like him that he’s a user, etcetera. Tanggap na namin ito at alam niyang it comes with the package of having a relationship with an artista."

She said that controversies are part and parce of life in show biz. Toni said their romance is an everyday learning experience.

"We learn everyday and it keeps getting better everyday kahit anong masabi because we’re ready," shared Toni who is proud that their relationship is almost a year old. "Wish ko is that magtuloy-tuloy ito ng maganda which eventually will lead to marriage. Ayaw ko ng mag-try ng iba. I’m very happy now. I can say that this is it. Kapit na!"

Toni is staging her successful "Catch Me" concert again on May 2 at the Aliw Theater at 8 p.m. She will be joined by Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson, Allan K and Vice Ganda.

"I’m excited to do my production number with Sam Milby which was well responded to during the first show. Sayang nga wala si Vhong because we all had fun in our number. But I’m looking forward to Gerald’s performance...I’m also glad na makakatrabaho ko ulit si Kuya Allan, isang napakabait na tao and very good comedian. We’re really rehearsing our production number," described Toni.

Toni said the repeat will be a completely new show. "There might be changes in the opening as well as ending numbers. We might have new songs plus a surprise guest."

Toni will undergo five costume changes courtesy of fashion designer Edwin Tan.

"Gusto nila akong sexy and nagpapa-sexy pero hindi naman sobrang sexy. Hindi ko naman kayang makipagsabayan ng todong-todong pagpapa-sexy. Skin and mga production numbers. Teaser lang ang skin," giggled Toni.

The con about having a repeat is that she is more pressured!

"I can’t relax. Ganun pala kapag nakagawa ka na ng concert tapos biglang may repeat. Nakaka-touch pero mas lumalaki ang pressure because you need to maintain your fans’ expectations during the first concert. And at the same time showcase something new," commented Toni.

"Catch Me, Toni Gonzaga (The Repeat)" is pesented by Manio Events and MJM Productions and line produced by Nitram Entertainment. With Musical Director Archie Castillo, it will be again directed by GB Sampedro whom she described as super cool and very professional.

For her fans in America, "Catch Me, Toni Gonzaga" will have its US Tour in July.
