SAP, the world’s leading provider of business software, will hold the fourth installment of its annual SAP Summit in the Philippines on July 23 and 24 at the Grand Ballroom of the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel.
Supporting SAP in this industry event are its platinum sponsors namely Kaisa Consulting, HP, IBM and Bayantrade.
With the theme "Business Beyond Boundaries", this is the fourth year that SAP will hold its Summit. As a key software player locally and globally, SAP Philippines has been a pioneer in developing effective and efficient business solutions software now being used by many small business, medium- and large enterprises for them to them meet the new challenges of the business environment.
The Summit is expected to cut across all segments and industries, encompassing IT, financial services, advertising, media, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food, the academe and government among others.
"We are excited with this coming Summit because it is going to be bigger and more exciting," said Jennifer Ligones, country manager of SAP Philippines. "For the past four years, we have seen many industries represented and we know that this year, it will again bring together customers, prospects and partners for them to discover they can continue to thrive and grow using SAP and that of our solutions partners."
This year’s summit promises to be bigger as it aims to have more attendees, more exhibitors, more breakout sessions, and more customer testimonials. The Summit also brings together SAP’s global team of professionals and partners to offer an exciting mix of presentations, demos and one-on-one discussions. The first day of the summit will be open to guests from large companies and medium-sized enterprises while the second day will be exclusively for small businesses. This year’s summit is expected to generate more than 2,500 attendees.
The theme revolves around the current business reality of global competition. Given today’s highly aggressive business environment, lowering of trade barriers across continents and the emergence of China as an economic power, the need for local companies for new, innovative and relevant business solutions and initiatives may all but spell the difference between surviving the current competition or losing out to other, more competitive enterprises.
"SAP is committed to providing the business sector with the right venue to learn from each other, exchange new ideas and technologies and most importantly, become more competitive in face of strong competition from a more dynamic global business environment," said Ligones.
