The Real Bank announces the fifth year and nationwide scope of its saving and thriftiness advocacy; comprehensive school program tri-partnership with the Department of Education and Mary Lindbert International.
Dubbed as "Bata…Bata…Mag-impok at Magsinop", the trailblazing project is being implemented in elementary schools in the National Capital Region, Regions III and IV-A and now it has added public and private schools in the Visayas and Mindanao regions increasing the scope from 45 to 100 schools.
The Real Bank chairman of the Board Jose Araullo said, "As the Lolo Pepe to all the pupils, I am humbled by the tremendous response of the children and the teachers to the program which we consider as The Real Bank’s legacy — our gift for the leaders of tomorrow. There is no greater fulfillment than knowing that you have imparted knowledge and inspired children with the right values to arm them for their future."
The Real Bank pioneering program is designed to help instill intellectually and emotionally to students the discipline of thriftiness, saving and the wise use of resources. It builds the knowledge base of the children with workbooks and reading materials that the bank itself created with the storytelling book "Mga Kwento ni Lolo Pepe ng Pag-iimpok at Pagsisinop" as the favorite and most requested.
"Bata…Bata…Mag-impok at Magsinop" has been reaping awards from international and local award giving groups. For the first four years of the program, it has garnered eight recognitions. The annual school-wide contests discovered young talents in the fields of visual arts and creative writing. But for The Real Bank the reward is the impact of its advocacy to the pupils and the increase in scope would redound to the upsurge of program beneficiaries whose sense of values of savings and thriftiness will pave the way to a stronger and more secure tomorrow.
