Angel Locsin’s projects are kept under wraps
spacer

Crispina Martinez-Belen

Everyone is kept guessing as to what projects Angel Locsin will be doing after "Lobo."

Anyway, that’s still far-off since we heard the fantaserye is not to end yet; it has been extended till July.

Angel’s much anticipated movie with Piolo Pascual will start filming in the latter part of the year. This will be Angel’s first movie under Star Cinema. But as to other projects, they are all highly confidential.

But of course many are wondering why Angel’s career under the Kapamilya Network seems to be crawling at turtle pace. After all, it’s been more than six months since she joined ABS-CBN. But Angel herself isn’t bothered a bit. "I have no regrets. I know I made the right choice."

She has always said she’s thankful for all the wonderful breaks given her by her new mother studio. "In my first month with ABS-CBN, I’ve been very vocal that I’m happy with what I did and I am very grateful for all the projects in line for me. They are really helping me a lot in improving my craft," Angel explained.

"Lobo," her first project with ABS-CBN, and which pairs her with Piolo, introduced Angel not only to Philippine televiewers but around the world as an official Kapamilya and as one of her generation’sfinest dramatic actresses.

"I owe everything to my amazing directors in ‘Lobo,’ Ms. Cathy Garcia-Molina and FM Reyes and of course to Piolo who is very fun to work with and a very good actor. I learned a lot from them," Angel said.

Just recently, Angel celebrated her 23rd birthday and her very first birthday celebration in ABS-CBN and like a true primetime royalty, she got a well-deserved birthday treat from her Kapamilyas in "ASAP 08" where she took the crowd for a big surprise and unleased her dancing prowess never before seen on television.

"I’m also surprised myself (laughs). It was a promise) I made to ‘ASAP’ that’s why I just went through with it. I want to keep my promises and even if it’s quite hard, I hope the viewers enjoyed it."

The whole cast and crew of "Lobo" also gave her a surprise birthday party during one of their tapings but her most memorable celebration would have to be the one she shared with the kids of Payatas, a celebration Angel herseld initiated together with Gabriela.

"I wanted to give back to my fans as much as possible because they are the reason why I am here. They are my inspiration and everything I do is for them," she said.

Angel is also getting more endorsement projects, and by the way, it’s not true that she has been replaced as celebrity female endorser of San Mig Coffee.
