Canada, France top 2nd day of World Pyro Olympics '08

After two great shows from Germany and China last Saturday, expect another spectacular evening today, May 10 from Canada and France in the on going 3rd World Pyro Olympics at the Esplanade in Pasay City.

Both countries are expected to show their best as they will try to outshine each other in their own 20-minute fireworks displays. Expect another night of colors amazing designs and unbelievable aquatic fireworks displays which is the highlight of every World Pyro Olympics.

During the opening night lat May 3, both Germany and China wowed the audience with their excellent display of colors, design and rhythm. Germany began their show by shooting into the skies one by one and then starts with a variety of fireworks mostly in silent and everyone was fixated on the beautiful fireworks display by the bay. The finale ended through a series of fireworks that was very powerful.

China began their show with an exciting rhythm, although steadily intense throughout the 20 minutes, with a consistently breathtaking show.

They used a variety of designs and colors, and one could only hear the "Ooh’s" and "Aahs’ from the crowd, noticeably impressed with the show. Those missed their colorful aquatic display should only blame themselves for watching the fireworks from afar. The colorful and exciting aquatic fireworks displays can only be seen if you are within the Esplanade area.

You still have three Saturdays to catch the 3rd World Pyro Olympics: May 10 (Canada and France), May 17 (Italy and Venezuela) and May 24. The May 24 show will be highlighted by the pyro musical exhibition of the Philippine Team represented by event organizer La Mancha Pyro Productions. Aside from this, WPO fanatics shouldn’t miss the Fellowhip of Fire which will feature highlights from the shows of the six competing countries. The announcement of the WPO champ for this year’s international competition will also be announced on the last day of the event.
