June Blanco

Bohol Gov. Erico Aumentado vowed to strengthen the capability of the Provincial Assessor’s Office (PassO) and Provincial Treasurer’s Office to implement a tax mapping project costing P7,225,590.

By strengthening the capability of the two offices, the provincial government is expected to increase revenue collections.

Aumentado said more revenues are needed to fund development projects and other activities promoting the welfare of constituents.

"There are many projects that are lined up for implementation," Aumentado said.

These include the lighting of the banks of the Loboc River a priority, hence the counterpart funding of P1 million for the project donated by Special Envoy to China Carlos Chan.

Among his constituents are children with varying degrees of disability who may want to undergo physical therapy and rehabilitation so that he allocated P800,000 for the Breaking Barriers Program.

He also programmed an allotment of P1.5 million for the purchase of a generator for the Congressman Simeon Toribio Memorial District Hospital (CSTMDH) in Carmen town so that physicians there will not worry of power outages while performing surgeries.
