DIGOS CITY – Suspected members of Guerrilla Front 51 of the New People’s Army (NPA) killed early this week a purok leader at Sitio Paradise, Barangay Kapatagan, this city.

The victim, Paterno Intes, was snatched by armed men while he was conducting an inspection of the barangay water line.

Police Officer Benjie Gemina said the guerrillas brought the hog tied victim with them while they searched every residence in the area for any hidden firearm.

The rebels shot the victim with his Garand rifle before they fled.
