After nearly four years of operations had been completed and with another six years of operations anticipated, TVI Resource Development Philippines, Inc. (TVIRD) has been busy implementing the Final Mine Rehabilitation and Decommissioning Plan for the Canatuan Project in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte. Over 100,000 trees planted under TVIRD reforestation program.
Progressive Rehabilitation activities have been continuing since mid-2004, when TVIRD began its Gossan (gold-silver) operations, the first phase of the Canatuan Project. TVIRD said this will continue through the end of the Sulphide (copper-zinc) operations, the second phase, in 2013.
