J-Em Ang of PBAP-Bowlmart amassed a total of 2317 pinfalls to capture the Bevida-Storm Challenge 2008 title at the Paeng’s Midtown bowl at Robinson Mall-Manila.
Averaging 224 pinfalls in 10 games, Ang bested Marlon Sia of MTBA-Team Henrich by 66 pinfalls.
Sia, owner of the lone perfect game registered so far, has a 2251 series for the runner-up position with teammate Benson Co claimingh third spot with a 2226 aggregate.
Two PBAP-Bowlmart members fcompleted the top five finishers with Yap Sek Kim, the only female to finish in the top 12, bowling a 2203 series and 14-year-old Stewart Ngo rolling a 2188.
Completing the top 12 finishers were PTBAOFW Anthony Balabbo of PTBA-OFW (2167), Taiwanese Chang Te Ming (2160), Thailand-Storm’s Songvit Lapasuppaisan (2153), PBAP-Bowlmart’s Benedict Tiong (2143), MTBA’s Jer Cabangon (2133), PTBA’s JC Cabacungan (2133) and Thailand-Storm’s Thanuphon Puangmalee (2107).
All the the finalists were presented their cash prizes by Robert Dong, Vice President of Storm Products who was assisted by James Dela Cruz of Paeng’s Midtown Bowl.
The tournament, side event of the 6th Euro-Med Storm International Masters Challenge, was presented by Bevida Distilled Drinking Water and Storm Products Inc. and sponsored by All The Technologies, Azo, Euro-Med Laboratories, Legacy Ventures, Manila Bulletin, Manila Hotel, Philippine Airlines, Roto Grip and Bowlmart Training Institute.
